OUR MISSION

support women ages 50+ to reSET or discover our active selves and to claim our power & PASSION

Our Beliefs

We are stronger together.

We love endorphins and pushing ourselves.  We are our own body-advocate.

We are inclusive of all women-identifying people at all stages of our active selves.

Age is not our limit.  It’s our inspiration.

Joining Tri2Surf

We’re brave and resilient women who can do anything we put our minds to.

We’re not sugar & spice & everything nice.

We’re a driving force to help women see that in themselves & embrace their active selves with wide-open arms.

This is a place where we build friendships, reclaim our endorphins & empower our curiosity about what we’re fully capable of doing & achieving!

Our community will help you find your starting point & nurture it. We also come together regularly for frank, soulful discussions about the things that get in the way. Everything we do is in community & support of each other to actively engage our muscles, mind, heart & soul.

This community is for you, if you want support with:

Aging, including body and endurance changes.

Creating new friendships and feeling less isolated.

Finding other women who love endorphin rushes and pushing their limits.

Discovering an activity you love and making time for it and yourself!

Reconnecting with yourself when other life stuff has left you disconnected.

Finding “Activity Buddies” for surfing, triathlons, and other fun!

Founder - Lisa Alfano

Hello there!

I’m Lisa Alfano, the founder of TRi2SURF

Turning 50 was a wake-up call moment for me. I took a look at my life and realized I wasn’t happy with what I saw. That realization eventually led me to sign up for my first triathlon that year.

There were many things I discovered about myself after that first triathlon, yet two things stand out: I realized I can do anything I put my mind to; and, that being part of a community gives me an inner strength that I never thought possible.

I’m passionate about supporting women in their quest to find their active selves again. I reunited with my soul and strength when I turned 50 - and I’m certain you can too.

That triathlon turned into a decade of physically pushing my limits, joining up with like-minded women, and finding greater freedom, joy and self-confidence.

What I’ve discovered along the way is how, with the right workout routine, healthy habits, supportive community and regular opportunities to challenge yourself, it’s totally possible to feel stronger, more powerful, and freer over age 50 than you ever have before.

I consistently hear from other women how difficult it can be to get their workout /active routines started or a to keep at their workout routines. Creating space for yourself, all the while dealing with the physical, psychological, and emotional changes of this age can be a lot to handle. So many of us yearn to be more active and don’t quite know how to get there.

That’s why I created Tri2Surf.

Alpine parrot

Alpine Parrot started in 2019 in response to the lack of size and ethnic diversity in outdoor apparel: we think it's silly that people still walk out of outdoor specialty stores, unable to find anything that fits!

And so Alpine Parrot makes outdoor apparel for women's sizes 14-24 (up to size 30, soon!), focusing on the inclusion of our inherent diversity as humans who care about the planet. Click here to learn more.
